Quick Summer Fixes

Summer, a season synonymous with fun, sunlight, beaches, and sometimes, slip-ups.

We’ve all been there, and sometimes caught dumbfounded by the little accidents that happen only during summer – but it’s time to leave embarrassment at the door because we have some “Quick Summer Fixes” for these mini summer mishaps!

#1: Sunscreen & SPF Lip Balm

While it can be relaxing and calming to bask in the sunlight for prolonged periods, don’t forget your SPF! Without SPF, you’re most prone to sunburns, early-onset aging, skin discoloration, and inflammation, as you’re left defenceless against the sun’s UV rays. Other than your skin, it’s also important to not forget to protect your lips with a lip balm that has SPF in it, to keep them moisturized throughout the day.

If you’re not a big fan of creamy and thick sunscreens, we recommend Milky Sunscreens – it’s the latest trend within the skincare community, and it leaves your skin looking healthy and glowing throughout your day. Milky Sunscreens are also known to be ultra-light, so you won’t have to worry about them being sticky and uncomfortable on your face.

Here are some tips on where and how you can find Milky Sunscreens from some of our favorite beauty bloggers, and you can click here for more info on sunscreens:

#2: An Extra Sarong

Unfortunate incidents happen, and sometimes your clothes can get unexpectedly wet during the day – whether from playing in the ocean or spilling something on them. Having a sarong at your disposal will save you from being in wet clothes for too long and awkward stains. Thankfully, a sarong can be worn in many ways, so it’s also a fun little way to switch up your look midday.

In an event where you are required to dress modestly upon entering a certain area/building, having a Sarong within your reach will save you from frantic last-minute searching.

#3: Hydrate

Anywhere you go, always remember to keep yourself hydrated. The hot weather and fun activities can be distracting but always try to remember to drink when you have the time. Have a water bottle near you at all times, to avoid dehydration and exhaustion.

#4: Fashion Tape

Sometimes, clothes just don’t fall the way they’re supposed to, especially during summer. A mixture of constant moving and sweat can cause your garments to slip around. One way to fix this is with fashion tape! These mini portable tools are your best friends for summer, as they keep your clothes on your body, and keep them looking pristine throughout your activities.

#5: Mosquito Repellent

If you’re traveling to a tropical country this season, don’t forget to pack a mosquito repellent with you. These little insects are known to be merciless in leaving itchy spots all over your body, and they can be annoying to deal with.

Below are some of our go-to mosquito and insect repellents that are skin-safe, and organic!
